PARAMETA CEO JH Kim Receives Minister of Science and ICT Commendation at 2023 Blockchain Grand Week

November 16, 2023, Seoul — Web3 Enabler PARAMETA (formerly ICONLOOP, CEO JH Kim) announced that CEO JH Kim has been selected for a 2023 blockchain merit award and received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT.
As head of PARAMETA, a leading Korean blockchain technology company, JH Kim was honored in recognition of his contribution to realizing innovation by applying distinctive blockchain technology across a range of industries. He was highly rated in particular for succeeding in creating clear differentiation from the majority of blockchain companies that rely on overseas open source — through years of proprietary technology development that produced loopchain, a blockchain core platform for both public and enterprise use — and for leading innovation through numerous successful deployments across sectors including the public sector, finance, retail, authentication, and healthcare.
The award ceremony took place on the 15th at 2023 Blockchain Grand Week, held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. At the event, held under the theme "Blockchain: Adding Trust to Digital Platforms," PARAMETA took part by running a booth introducing the battery remaining-life certification service it is developing with PMGROW, along with its high-performance blockchain framework, the PARAMETA Framework.
PARAMETA had earlier been selected as lead contractor for the battery remaining-life certification service within the 2023 Blockchain Private Sector Focus Program, pursued by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) to grow the blockchain industry, and jointly developed the service in consortium with participating company PMGROW. At this event, the company focused on introducing that service, which will deliver tangible value by using blockchain technology to build a transparent, user-centered ecosystem for battery data.
Also in the spotlight was the PARAMETA Framework, an optimal platform for Web3 transformation. The PARAMETA Framework is a full-package blockchain toolkit supporting development across every layer from L0 to L4. It delivers dramatic transaction processing speed on the basis of loopchain, PARAMETA's hyper-performance blockchain core, which already supports up to 20,000 TPS and is under development with a target of 100,000 TPS. By overcoming the throughput limits that had constrained industrial deployment, it is expected to be usable for real-time trading in areas such as STOs.
