Leading Korean Blockchain Company ICONLOOP Changes Its Name to PARAMETA

February 1, 2023, Seoul — ICONLOOP (CEO JH Kim), a leading Korean blockchain company, is changing its name to PARAMETA and expanding its Web3 transformation business in earnest.
The new name, PARAMETA, combines the English prefix "para," meaning beyond or transcending, with "meta," which denotes something higher, transcendent, a change in position or state, a new trend. It carries the company's ambition to turn new business value built on blockchain and Web3 technology into a meta-trend. The name also evokes "parameter" — the argument passed to execute a desired command or function — reflecting the intent to drive partners' successful Web3 adoption and transition.
Alongside the name change, PARAMETA unveiled a new slogan: Web3 Enabler. Under that slogan, the company plans to focus on its role as a collaborative partner — supporting blockchain and Web3 technology and consulting for operators looking to transition existing Web2 businesses to Web3 or to start Web3-based businesses, and going further to connect and expand multiple blockchain and Web3 platforms while growing the Web3 ecosystem together.
PARAMETA signaled the start of its Web3 transformation business in earnest by supplying its technology to the interchain NFT platform HAVAH, whose launch was completed last year, and to Gyeongsangbuk-do's digital identity verification MyData platform. HAVAH in particular has now surpassed 300,000 users, having sold out three rounds of pre-sales and the Mini Planet node NFTs in its public sale. Web3 transformation projects PARAMETA is already running with companies and institutions across a range of fields — an SNS with one million monthly active users, mobility, intellectual property, real estate, finance — will be announced shortly, and the company aims to keep connecting and expanding ecosystems through Web3 transformation across an ever wider range of industries.
"We expect Web3 transformation to establish itself across the industry ecosystem as a meta-trend rather than a passing one," said PARAMETA CEO JH Kim. "As a first-generation blockchain company, we will combine our full-stack technology applicable across Web3 with our expertise in deploying it exceptionally well across numerous public and private blockchains, to become a strong partner supporting successful Web3 adoption and transition."
PARAMETA has continuously developed blockchain core and applied technology and deployed it across industry since its founding in 2016, earning recognition for its technology and expertise through numerous successful cases.
The rebranded PARAMETA's corporate identity will be unveiled shortly.
