ICONLOOP Accelerates DID Platform Expansion with the Launch of MyID Wallet Partners

The newly unveiled MyID Wallet Partner program covers identity wallet providers that issue user DIDs on the MyID platform and store and submit identity verification data (hereafter credentials). Alongside the existing issuers and verifiers of identity verification, they are expected to play a central role in expanding the MyID platform.

For MyID Wallet Partners, ICONLOOP plans to release the MyID Wallet SDK so that partner companies can offer MyID-based DID identity verification services within their own service apps, with no need to call a separate app. As a result, use of MyID identity verification services is expected to extend beyond Zzeung, ICONLOOP's own identity wallet app, to the services of the many institutions and companies taking part as MyID Wallet Partners.

MyID Wallet Partners can present credentials already issued on the MyID platform within their own service apps, and will also be able to participate directly as issuers and issue credentials themselves.

"We expect this Wallet Partner launch to connect more users and client institutions to the MyID platform and to put a wider range of credentials into circulation," said ICONLOOP CEO JH Kim. "Several companies are already in discussions out of interest in becoming Wallet Partners, and through collaboration with Wallet Partners across many fields we will expand the MyID ecosystem as Korea's leading DID identity verification platform."
