PARAMETA Starts Upgrading Gyeongsangbuk-do’s Public MyData Platform ‘Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do’ with Blockchain DID Technology

[Gyeongsangbuk-do’s Public MyData Platform 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do' Phase 2 Project Launching Report Conference]

July 13, 2023 – ‘Web3 Enabler’ PARAMETA Corp. (formerly ICONLOOP, CEO JH Kim) announced that it has won the second phase of Gyeongsangbuk-do’s public mydata platform 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do' following the first phase of the project and will begin work to upgrade the platform.

'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do' is a platform that enables quick and easy access to administrative services by utilizing data held by government agencies and local governments with the consent of the citizens who are the subjects of the information, and was developed by PARAMETA, the sole implementing agency of the project, and launched public services earlier this year. In the first phase of the project, PARAMETA promoted innovative safety and simplification of identity authentication through the issuance of digital Gyeongbuk citizenship and happiness certificates using its proprietary blockchain DID (Decentralized Identifier) technology.

Following the first phase of the project, PARAMETA's second phase aims to expand administrative services based on the 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do' app, which can be applied safely and conveniently using DID. To this end, PARAMETA attended the 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do Phase 2 Project Launching Report Conference' with about 20 people from the province, municipalities, and businesses to present the services to be developed and discuss the business direction.

Since the launch of the first phase of the service, more than 26,000 people (11.1% of the total population of 23.5 million) have applied for farmers' and fishermen's allowances safely and easily on the ‘Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do’ mobile app without worrying about personal information leakage, and the planetary efficiency of local government departments has been significantly improved, proving the effectiveness and stability of DID in various ways. The second phase of the project will complement the improvements discussed during the first phase of service provision, while introducing new administrative services discovered through departmental and municipal collaboration to be conveniently available on the 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do' app, thus expanding DID-based services on a more advanced platform.

The new administrative services to be added in the second phase of the project include municipal and county school uniform support, public job applications, forestry qualification applications, and operation of 119 Child Happiness Care Centers, which will be developed to enable safe and easy application through the 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do' app. In addition, using the blockchain DID-based mobile resident card and QR developed in the first phase of the project, we plan to provide linked services such as discount events for tourists visiting tourist destinations in the province, and collect data for visitors to develop data analysis and utilization models.

In addition, the 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do' project will be enhanced to provide more convenient access to administrative services by collecting previously scattered administrative information in one place by expanding provincial policies, publicity, and linkage services.

"We are pleased that PARAMETA's DID technology plays an important role in improving the convenience of using administrative services for citizens and improving administrative efficiency for local government administrators, and we plan to do our best to upgrade our services to make it easier and safer to use various administrative services," said JH Kim, CEO of PARAMETA. "We expect that 'Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do', which is creating practical value by utilizing blockchain technology, will be more active, and we will continue to make examples like this in the future."
